Report 2014/09
Aviation report 2014/09
The Primary Flight Display (PFD) failed during a training flight with two student pilots aboard a Cirrus SR20. A short time later white smoke emitted from the instrument panel. Emergency procedures were performed. After all the power was turned off the smoke disappeared and the crew could land at Evenes (ENEV) without further problems. It turned out that the smoke came from a failure in the PFD power supply. No safety recommendation is issued in connection with this investigation. This report is in Norwegian only.
