In accordance with an agreement, investigation of this accident was delegated to the Sailplane Section of the Norwegian Air Sports Federation (S/NLF). In May 2019 the Norwegian Safety Investigation Authority (NSIA) published Report SL 2019/06 with reference to S/NLF Report 19/2018R1.
After the publication of Report SL 2019/06, the NSIA received new significant information about the accident, necessitating reopening the case and altering the investigation report. S/NLF has consequently issued Report 19/2018-REV-2020, which this report from the NSIA is based on.
