On Friday 14 September, a shunting engine belonging to CargoLink AS collided with a freight car set consisting of empty container cars on track 47 at Alnabru shunting yard. The shunting engine had requested a shunting route from track group 1 in Alnabru South to track C8 in the container terminal at Alnabru. On its way from the south end of the shunting yard to the container terminal, the shunting engine ran into a parked freight car set consisting of empty container cars on track 47. Two people were onboard the shunting engine when the collision occurred. The impact was powerful, and one person was seriously injured, while another sustained slight injuries. This report is in Norwegian only. No safety recommendation is issued in connection with this investigation.
