Helicopter accident near Barentsburg: The AIBN boards recovery vessel

The AIBN has contracted the recovery vessel Maersk Forza, currently en route to Hammerfest. The vessel will be a substantial asset in the attemt to recover the helicopter. Personnel from the AIBN will board the vessel in Hammerfest some time before tomorrow morning. The voyage to Svalbard will provide time to plan the work ahead. At the same time search and planning continues at Svalbard in cooperation with the Police and the Governor of Svalbard.
