In connection with the submission of part two report on the collision between HNoMS Helge Ingstad and Sola TS, the NSIA will give a digital press conference which will be streamed in its entirety on our website on Wednesday 21 April at 1300.

At the press conference, the NSIA will first present the part two report which deals with HNoMS Helge Ingstad from the time of the collision until the frigate was considered lost. The press is then invited to a digital meeting where there will be an opportunity to ask questions.

The press conference will be held in Norwegian only.

The report will be available on our website at the same time the press confernce starts.

The digital meeting after the presentation starts five minutes after the introductory orientation has ended and lasts for up to 45 minutes. The sender address must be registered with a media house and we ask each editorial office to limit the number of participants to a maximum of two. Depending on the number of participants in the meeting, we can not guarantee that everyone will be able to ask questions.

Director William J. Bertheussen, department director in the maritime department Dag S. Liseth, as well as the inspectors of accidents Anett Nyberg, Anne Østdahl and Kristian Haugnes from the maritime department participate from the NSIA. No other actors will be present.

Due to national and local covid-19 restrictions, it will not be possible to conduct a physical one-on-one interview with the NSIA after the press conference.

The NSIA will distribute publication points to media that wants to send the press conference directly in their own solutions. Notify by e-mail to pressekonferanse@nsia.no by Monday 19 April at 1500 if you want to use this solution.
