2013/24
Aviation report 2013/24
Motor failure shortly after take-off from Kjeller airfield. Emergency landing on a field without aircraft or persons being injured. Major engine damage. Among other things, the rear cylinder connecting rod had punched a hole through the crankcase. The engine failure was most likely a result of the rear piston overheating, but the reason for this has not been established. This report is in Norwegian only. No safety recommendation is issued in connection with this investigation.
