Notification and reporting

Accidents and serious incidents involving amusement devices must be notified and reported to the Norwegian Safety Investigation Authority (cf. the Amusement Park Act).

Section 9. Obligation to notify

The operator shall promptly notify the police and the investigating authority of an accident or serious incident.

The investigating authority shall notify the supervisory authority of an accident or serious incident.

Section 10. Obligation to report

The amusement-device operator shall report information about accidents, serious incidents and incidents involving amusement devices to the supervisory authority and the investigating authority.

Accidents and serious incidents shall be reported in writing to the supervisory authority and the investigating authority as soon as possible and within 72 hours at the latest. Reporting shall take place using a form prescribed jointly by the supervisory authority and the investigating authority.

Incidents shall be reported to the supervisory authority within eight days. Reporting shall take place using a form prescribed by the supervisory authority.

Reporting may be by electronic means.
