Investigation of aviation accident at Oppdal Airfield
On 13 July 2025, at approximately 9:00 PM, a Danish-registered aircraft, OY-PTR, ran off the runway during landing at Oppdal Airfield (ENOP). None of the four people on board were injured. The aircraft sustained structural damages to be classified as an aviation accident.
While landing towards the east at Oppdal Airfield, the pilot lost directional control and ran off the left/north side of the runway.
The aircraft went through a fence and sustained damage to the propeller and wing as well as stabilizor and elevator.
The Norwegian Safety Investigation Authority (NSIA) has started an investigation to find the root cause and to reduce the likelihood of similar incidents in the future.
NSIA has examined the airport and the aircraft, as well as taken statement from the pilot in command and the airfield manager.
No seizures have been made, and the aircraft has been released back to its owner.
