The seaplane crashed during take-off when the right wing hit the surface of the water in demanding wind conditions. There were six people on board. The seaplane ended up upside down in the water. The pilot and two of the passengers survived the accident. Three of the passengers were unable to get out of the seaplane and died as a result of drowning.
