The incident happened at about 4,800 feet altitude in controlled airspace (Farris TMA). The commander assessed that the distance to the object was about 50 meters when passing it. After passing the object, the commander made a turn in order to visually follow the object, which shortly afterwards made a rapid spiraling descent.
