Investigation of accident i the climbing park "Høyt under taket" in Moss
On 20 February 2025, a boy fell from a climbing course at a climbing park in Moss. The boy suffered serious fractures in the fall.
The accident occurred while climbing on the Rambergåsen climbing trail. This track is designed for people at minimum height 140 cm. Throughout the trail, you are wearing a climbing harness which is also connected to a wire, so that you are protected against falling down. The boy fell approx. 7.5 meters.
The investigation will clarify the course of events and point to possible causal factors. Any contributing factors that may have contributed to the accident will be mapped and analyzed.
The purpose of the investigation is to contribute learning that can be used in the work to improve safety in this type of climbing parks.
