Investigation of a ski lift accident at SkiStar Trysil, Trysil
On Saturday 6 January 2024, a child fell out of a chairlift from 13-14 meters hight, while travelling together with parent and sibling. The child was taken to hospital and later diagnosed with light injuries.
The investigation will clarify the sequence of events and point to possible causal factors. Any underlying circumstances that may have contributed to the incident will be clarified and analysed.
The purpose of the investigation is to contribute to learning that can be used in the work to improve safety when people travel on chairlifts.
