Investigation of marine accident involving a rental boat north of Vågsøy in Kinn municipality
The Norwegian Safety Investigation Authority has decided to investigate a marine accident involving a rental boat that occurred on 4 May 2025 north of Vågsøy. Three German tourist anglers were on board when the vessel at some point capsized. Two individuals were found deceased in the sea the same day, while the third was found deceased on 8 May 2025 off the coast of Refvika.
The NSIA has been on site and has, among other things, carried out technical examinations of the rental boat.
